I am a journalist based in San Francisco. I serve as editor at the Palo Alto Weekly and Palo Alto Online. Prior to taking on the role, I had spent 16 years covering local and regional politics, land use, transportation, utilities, breaking news, crime and anything else Palo Alto-related at the Embarcadero Media Foundation.

Born in Ukraine, I grew up in San Francisco, went to school at UCLA and Columbia and covered breaking news and local politics at the Waterbury Republican-American before joining Embarcadero. I enjoy running marathons, reviewing books, eating churros, investigating chicanery and breaking news.
